Primi esperimenti con node di LuaTeX

Abstract

The new LuaTeX typesetting engine is going to be released in a stable version, ready for powerful applications. This paper is a step-by-step introduction of several LuaTeX internals such as the rule, glue, and glyph nodes. Moreover, a pilot project is developed as a real design problem, to reproduce barcodes in the Code 39 specification, in such a way to reveal the new features and to dive into the Lua programming language.
